Goodwill opens new thrift and donation center in north Lincoln
Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska, Inc. opened a new thrift and donation center in Lincoln’s North Star Crossing development. Located at 2920 Folkways Boulevard, the new store is one of Goodwill’s largest locations in Lincoln, offering new shopping, sustainability and employment opportunities for the local community.
Like other stores, the Folkways location accepts and sells gently used donations of clothing, furniture, electronics and other home goods to support Goodwill’s mission of “willing workers employed and community resources maximized.” Revenue from Goodwill donations funds a variety of local employment services and programs that help individuals overcome traditional barriers to employment.
Goodwill’s new store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A grand opening celebration will be held later this year, and community members can follow @LincolnGoodwill on Facebook to learn more.
