After more than a half-decade of planning and months of construction, state officials Wednesday unveiled the reimagined Reception and Treatment Center, which combines two state prisons into one massive complex. The crown jewel of the $125 million project is a 384-bed maximum security wing, which will begin to house inmates later this summer, a development that should help to ease overcrowding.
