Various of cityscape, traffic Storyline Yemen's Houthi group said on late Sunday that the Saudi-led coalition launched 75 airstrikes and missile attacks against several provinces in Yemen over the past 24 hours. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a statement posted on social media platform X on Sunday that 75 air and missile strikes hit the provinces of Saada, Taiz, Amran, Ibb, Dhamar, Lahj, Hodeidah and Al-Jawf in the past day. He claimed the attacks caused civilian casualties and brought the total number of air and missile strikes since the latest escalation began to 3,830. The figures could not be independently verified. Also on Sunday, the Saudi-led coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Malki posted on X that the coalition had carried out an operation to neutralize vital resources used by the Houthi group. He said the operation was conducted Sunday morning in response to continued Houthi attacks against civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Yemeni government forces said on Sunday that the government forces continue to carry out military operations on various fronts. The targets include Houthi gathering points, reinforcements, fortifications, sources of fire, and mobile and logistical equipment. In a separate development, a Yemeni security official said on Sunday that the Houthis fired a missile strike against an area near a military facility of the Yemeni government forces in Aden, the southern port city of Yemen. The Houthis has not commented on the attack, said the official. Recent weeks have seen escalating cross-border hostilities between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, with Saudi strikes hitting Houthi-held areas in Yemen and the Houthis launching missiles and drones toward Saudi Arabia. Yemen has been mired in conflict since late 2014, when the Houthis seized the capital Sanaa and much of northern Yemen, prompting the Saudi-led coalition to intervene in 2015 in support of the Yemeni government.
