The Omaha Public Power District announced Wednesday that it has signed agreements involving two renewable energy projects, one of which is expected to begin generating electricity as soon as 2029.
The Omaha Public Power District's first utility-scale solar array, the 81-megawatt Platteview Solar plant, is seen around its opening in 2024 south of Nebraska Highway 92 near Yutan.
