Larry, a route driver for the Food Bank of Lincoln, saw the line of cars extending out of the Gage County Fairgrounds and decided he need to start Monday’s food distribution early.
Lauby Plumbing, Heating & Air has issued a community challenge to area residents and businesses for November to match its $500 donation to area food pantries.
Roy Lauby, who started the challenge on Saturday, said the goal is to raise $5,000 by the end of the month. More than $1,100 has been donated already.
