The City of Omaha has completed the purchase of a 25-acre site in north downtown, making way for a proposed $140 million professional soccer stadium and other projects, Omaha Mayor John Ewing announced Friday.
The future site of the Union Omaha soccer stadium, which the city bought from Union Pacific, is seen at 1101 Izard St. on Friday.
