Pershing Mural Historic Preservation Project committee chair Liz Shea-McCoy speaks on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, in a climate-controlled warehouse at 2820 West P Circle in a Lincoln. In the summer of 2024, 763,000 one‑inch tiles were removed from the Pershing mural after seven decades of weather exposure. The pieces were moved to a donated warehouse on the west side of Lincoln, where a small restoration team cleaned, buffed, repaired, and reorganized each tile, panel by panel, over many months.
