I am writing to offer my wholehearted endorsement of Dr. Jeremy Hosein for the Board of Regents. My perspective comes from decades of knowing Jeremy personally and professionally. I’ve known him for decades, which has given me a unique understanding of him as a leader and a person. His ability to navigate complexity and find a clear, practical path forward is truly impressive. I saw this firsthand when he served as Student Regent where he fought for students at UNMC. Jeremy has always had a rare ability to recognize what can be improved and then put in the work to make it happen. His current role as Chair of Neurosurgery speaks volumes about his leadership and the trust placed in him by his peers. The Board of Regents is often under-appreciated, yet its impact is profound. Whether raising a family, running a business, or working within one, the likelihood is high that your life is directly influenced by graduates of this system. Preserving “the good life” means ensuring that the next generation is educated and inspired. It requires leaders who are experienced, forward-thinking and committed to the long-term success of this state, and Jeremy embodies all of those qualities. I encourage voters to learn more about his vision, and meet him in person. It becomes clear very quickly that he is someone capable of making a meaningful impact. To preserve what makes Nebraska special, we must be intentional about who we entrust to lead its most important institutions.
