Antiques and rustic goods are nothing new to Melissa Cerny. She's been collecting and selling them for years, but they opened the door for her to add something that is new to her life — a store at 2307 13th St.
A menagerie of vintage pots and pans hang on an antique kitchen cabinet at Vintage Pine, 13th Street's newest retail destination. On the left side of the cabinet, one might notice a metal chute that was used for sifting flour in the early 20th century.
Vintage Pine's eastern half of the building features antiques, specially-picked curios and toys and a section specifically for guys to peruse while ladies shop the rest of the store, something owner Melissa Cerny found lacking at other similar stores.

Melissa Cerny, owner of Vintage Pine at 2307 13th St. in Columbus, stands behind the counter next to a sign with the store's name. The wood paneling on the wall behind her was sourced from Ag Park's horse barns that were demolished a couple years ago, and the door from an old church.
