LINCOLN — Brett Lindstrom's nonpartisan bid to become Nebraska governor appears to be over because he did not submit enough valid signatures, and it appears from the announcement that he may have been ensnared in similar signature-gathering issues impacting a Lincoln-area ballot initiative.
Brett Lindstrom, who had hoped to run as a nonpartisan candidate for Nebraska governor, carries boxes of signatures into the Secretary of State's Office in the Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln on Aug. 3. The Secretary of State's Office said Friday that Lindstrom did not have enough valid signatures.Â
