State Sen. John Cavanaugh speaks Friday during a press conference at Nebraska Democrats' Omaha headquarters, at 1102 S. 76th Ave. The Omaha lawmaker, a candidate for the Democratic nomination in the 2nd Congressional District, said ads tying him to President Donald Trump are deceptive, untrue and an attempt to get Democrats to attack one another.
