A new, 7,000-seat soccer stadium for Union Omaha and a future women's soccer team is coming to downtown Omaha.

Union Omaha officials announced plans Thursday for a 7,000-seat soccer stadium and surrounding retail, entertainment and residential development set to span 18 acres along the south side of Abbott Drive between Riverfront Drive to the west and just east of Gallup Drive.
