Area planners recommending construction of a new I-80 interchange identified 192nd Street/Capehart Road as the best option. A second choice was identified at 168th Street/Schram Road.
The study, by the six-county Metropolitan Area Planning Agency in conjunction with the cities of Gretna and Papillion, studied six possible locations for future interchanges on Interstate 80 in western Sarpy County. The preferred option: at 192nd Street/Capehart Road, roughly halfway between the two nearest exits at Highway 370 and Highway 31.
