There was one fatality this morning on Saunders County gravel roads after a crash involving an East Butler Public School bus and a pickup. The name of the person riding in the pickup was not immediately released. The two vehicles met at the unmarked intersection at County Roads 29 and H, which is just one mile west of Highway 79 and about four miles north of Valparaiso. Eleven students were riding the bus at the time of the accident. According to the Saunders County Sheriff’s office, they are being treated for minor injuries. Emergency personnel remained on the scene for more than 2 hours Thursday morning after a fatal crash on Saunders County Roads. The crash at the intersection of county roads H and 29 involved a pickup (seen in ditch in background) and a school bus from East Butler Public Schools. One of the three people in the pickup died as a result of injuries. No names were immediately released. Eleven students and the driver in the school bus were treated for non-serious injuries, according to Saunders County Sheriff Kevin Stukenholtz.
