RAYMOND — On May 9, Raymond Central Public Schools stakeholders will vote on a bond issue that would pay for a new elementary school on the district’s central site campus, as well as for upgrades to the middle school/high school building.

WAVERLY — Temperatures in eastern Nebraska are expected to crawl to just below freezing this Saturday, but that’s not stopping a Waverly church youth group from holding a spring-themed craft fair.
WAVERLY — As recently as January, the City of Waverly hoped to move forward on a new building that would jointly house Waverly Fire and Rescue and the city’s municipal offices. That plan now appears to be on hold — for several reasons.
WAVERLY — Usually when a roof is installed with a skylight, it’s meant to add natural brightness and color to an indoor environment. In the case of Hamlow Elementary School’s library skylight, it lets in another outdoor element — water.
This season was a record setting year for Saunders County when it came to wrestling. In total, there six boys that wrestled for a state title from the area. This isn’t mentioning the four area girls who were in the finals.
