There was another snow in York on Thursday, Jan. 18, affecting road conditions and visibility. Jeremy Wesely, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service, said that there were just under an inch of snow on Thursday. "The issue was the wind," Wesely said. "We were getting 45 to 55 mile per hour winds and that was resulting in whiteout conditions for at least a brief period of time." The National Weather Service issued a snow squall warning. They had numerous reports of accidents in that area, Wesely added.

Though not as cold as the past week, temperatures in York were well below freezing on Thursday. A winter weather advisory was in effect until Friday at 6:00 a.m. and a wind chill advisory was in effect between Thursday Jan. 18 at 6:00 p.m. and Friday Jan. 19 at 12:00 p.m, according to the National Weather Service. Another wind child advisory is supposed to be in effect between Jan. 19 at 6:00 p.m. and Jan. 20 at 12:00 p.m. as temperatures are expected to dip once again this weekend to well below zero. Thursday night will have "wind chill values of negative to negative 25 tonight into Friday morning," Wesely said. "Actual low temperatures around negative sixteen Friday night with the wind chill -25 to -30," he added, though by Monday, temperatures will be above freezing.
