President Ted Carter will forgo about $113,000 in deferred compensation when he leaves the University of Nebraska for Ohio State at the end of the year.
Regents met in an emergency meeting on Friday -- three days after NU President Ted Carter was announced as president of Ohio State University -- to begin discussing next steps.
The regents were months into their deliberations over who would be the university’s next president when a portion of the regents reached out to U.S. Rep. Mike Flood.
