Tabb Thornton Farinholt, 88, beloved mother, teacher, counselor and grammarian died peacefully in Richmond on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Tabb was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Harvey Blair Farinholt and her much-admired and ardent supporter, sister Mary Moylan (Mimi) Oppenheimer. She was born in Richmond in 1937 and was the daughter of the late Jane Douthat Riddle Thornton and Barbour Newman Thornton.

Haemker, Joan

Joan Lillian Coates Haemker, 100 years and 5 months, peacefully passed away at her home in Midlothian, Virginia on April 8, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wilbert Daniel Haemker, her youngest son, Mark Haemker and her grandson, Charles Todd Margraf.

Thomas Edward Jones, born in Baltimore, Md., departed at the VA Medical Center. He leaves to cherish his memory, devoted companion, Cynthia Crawley; dedicated sons, Steve and Jason Crawley. Also survived by his devoted sister, Jean Brown; and a brother, Ruffin Jones. Mr Jones' remains were donated to Anatomy Gifts Registry for medical education. A memorial service is being planned!
