MEAD — The Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center has been the proving ground for the technology shaping the future of agriculture.
Joshua Richardson, field representative for CNH, showcases one of two new methane-powered Holland T6.180 tractors that were donated to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Tuesday at the Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center near Mead. The center will become a test site for the pair of new tractors run exclusively on methane.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Architectural Hall, seen here in July 1987 following a $4.38 million renovation, is the university's oldest building. It originally housed UNL's library and art gallery and served as headquarters for the Nebraska State Historical Society.
